GameNotes:
The Rockets just smoked offensively in the first half, jumping out to a 30-21 advantage after one. Mo Taylor hit all 4 shots he took, scoring 8 in the period.
By halftime, Mo had 12 on 5-5 from the floor, Mobley had 10 and Francis had 8 points, 5 assists and 6 boards -- the Rockets led 54-43.
Taylor exploded for 7 uncontested points in the first 2 minutes of the third, giving him 19 total, and the Rockets increased their lead to 61-43.
After one of several Charles Oakley jumpers, the Raptors were within 13, but Mo Taylor nailed two more jumpers in a row and the Rockets led 74-59.
The Rockets got smoking hot to end the third. Shandon nailed three straight buckets, Mobley nailed two after that and Francis capped the Rockets' 9th straight field goal with a gorgeous baseline reverse in traffic.
A Bullard miss from long range as the buzzer sounded to end the third stopped the streak, but the Rockets led 86-68 with 12 minutes left.
The Rockets kept the heat on. Bullard nailed a three, Mobley converted a beautiful three-point play on a short jumper and a little later Walt Williams drained a trifecta of his own and Toronto, getting blown out, was forced to call timeout down 98-76.
They kept pouring it on. After Moochie danced around Tracy Murray, he found Walt for another three and the crowd was in an uproar. The Rockets celebrated. Timeout Toronto -- Rockets 110, Raptors 84.
Said TNT analyst John Thompson, "I tell you what. If this team gets a big guy who can bang down low they're going to be a force to be reckoned with."
