Yao Ming was 6-6 from the floor for 16 points in the first half and the team seemed to be clicking, holding a 7-point edge at halftime.
Then the wheels came off... completely.
The Mavs got smoking hot, the Rockets completely fell apart and Dallas went on to spank the Rockets 104-81 in front of a national TV audience.
The way the Rockets crumbled was an even worse sign. No offensive cohesion whatsover, no defensive adjustments on the three-point line (as the Mavs hit 8 triples in a 37-point third quarter), constant complaining to the refs and a couple of near fights.
It was truly an embarrassing half of basketball for Rockets fans.
