Rockets Add 5 Players For Training Camp
The Rockets haven't made any big splashes this offseason, but they made 5 little ones Monday.

The Rockets signed forwards Torraye Braggs, Ben Davis and Gabe Muoneke (pictured) as well as guards Alex Scales and Mike Wilks.

All 5 players will participate in Rockets training camp which starts at the end of the month (September 29th). Training camp has moved from Austin to Galveston this year.

The 6-foot-8, 240 pound Braggs was a second round pick out of Xavier by the Utah Jazz in 1998 but has never played in an NBA regular season game. He was cut by the Kinds in October of 2001. The power forward averaged 13.4 points and 7.8 boards in two seasons at Xavier.

Former Arizona Wildcat Davis had a couple of stints with the Suns in 1996-1997 and 1999-2000, with two short seasons with the Knicks in between. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 1.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in just 3.9 minutes a game.

A lot of Texas fans know of Muoneke, who played at UT in Austin from 1996 to 2000, averaging just under 12 points and 6 boards a game. He played the last couple of seasons with the Columbus Riverdragons and Roanoke Dazzle of the NBDL. In 8 games witht he Dazzle last season, he averaged 21.4 points and 8.8 rebounds a game.

Wilks played with both the Atlanta Hawks and the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, averaging 3.2 points and 2.0 assists a game in 15 minutes of action. The 5-foot-10 guard came out of Rice in 2001.

The 6-foot-3 Scales played ball at Oregon from 1998 to 2000, averaging 15.3 points, 5.1 boards and 2.8 assists.
