Anthony Miller was born to be an on-again, off-again Houston Rocket.
The forward known as "Pig" was waived by the Rockets Thursday, just one week after signing with the team when Eddie Griffin flaked out.
Pig played 29 games with the Rockets in 1998-99, 35 games in 1999-2000 and in another game in 2000-2001. He's been the consumate fill-in player for the Rockets when needed.
Miller wasn't the only player who got the axe as the team narrows down its roster. Gabe Muoneke and Alex Scales both were let go Thursday.
Muoneke averaged 5 points and just under 2 boards in 6 preseason games while Scales scored 10 points in 3 games.
