The New York Daily News made mention of a possible Rockets-Cavaliers deal that could send Eric Piatkowski to Cleveland and bring Kevin Ollie to Houston.
Both Ollie and Piatkowski were left unprotected by their respective teams in the Charlotte Bobcats expansion draft. If it were to happen, the
trade would take place through the Bobcats, with Charlotte taking those two players then shipping them to their ultimate destinations.
Both players were disappointments for their respective teams, with Ollie having signed a Moochie Norris-esque 5-year, $15 million contract last summer.
The Cavs have been trying to get the Bobcats to take Ollie outright, to no avail.
Ironically both Ollie and Piatkowski were free agents last summer, and the Rockets pursued Ollie while the Cavs did the same with Piatkowski.
The Akron Beacon Journal confirms the Cavaliers have interest in Piatkowski, but makes no mention of a potential deal for Ollie.
The expansion draft takes place this Tuesday, June 22nd.
