Jim Jackson was livid when he heard about the Rockets dealing him to the 2-25 New Orleans Hornets, and his anger apparently has not let up a few days later.
Jackson still has not reported to the Hornets, and the team responded Wednesday by suspending him indefinitely.
"He basically didn't want to start over. He wants to have a chance to win a championship just like 200 other players in this league," said Hornets coach Byron Scott. "We've encouraged him to just come down and meet everyone in the organization, and I think he could have a change of heart, but right now he's pretty adamant about this not being something he wants to do at this particular point in his career."
This will not affect the status of the trade however. New Orleans waived the physical requirement, and David Wesley is making his Rocket debut tonight in Cleveland. So the deal is official.
