After Rod Strickland's performance Wednesday against the Spurs, the writing was clearly on the wall.
After acquiring point guard Mike James from the Bucks Thursday, the Rockets waived Strickland, less than 24 hours after Strickland was clearly exposed in San Antonio.
The Rockets also waived Zendon Hamilton, who was acquired in the James trade.
Strickland played just over 12 minutes a game in 16 contests this season with Houston, averaging 1.7 points and 2.4 assists. He started out the first 8 game having shot 2-22 from the floor, and never really showed that age had not crippled his game.
This of course takes nothing away from the man's career, where he was one of the league's best point guards over the last 17 years.
