The Rockets waived Gerald Fitch on Monday, less than a week after assigning him to the NBDL.
In 3 games with the Toros, Fitch played poorly, averaging 11.7 points and 4.3 boards, but hitting just 28% of his shots and less than 20% from downtown.
The 6-foot-3 guard out of Kentucky, acquired in the Derek Anderson trading deadline deal, never played a game for the Rockets.
The move could be a precursor to an addition to the roster. With David Wesley out for at least Monday night's game against the Nets, the Rockets are in sore need of guards who can shoot.
