They were sleepless in Seattle Tuesday night, watching their team take a 3-point edge in to the fourth quarter in Sacramento, but the Sonics saved the worst for last, scoring just 16 in the final frame to eek out the loss.
"Going in to the fourth Ray [Allen] called a huddle and said, 'Look, we're not this good'," said Sonics guard Luke Ridnour. "That really calmed us down and got us playing Seattle basketball again."
The Sonics nabbing the timely defeat puts them in to a 3-way tie for the 8th spot with Golden State and Houston and sets the stage for a massive slopfest Wednesday night in the NBA season finale. Four games will decide spots 7 through 10.
