ClutchFans has confirmed that Rockets vice president of player personnel Dean Cooper will be leaving the Rockets organization.
The news that Cooper was leaving Houston was first leaked by denniscd of the ClutchFans BBS, who says that Cooper is leaving to join the Minnesota Timberwolves as an assistant.
Cooper was with the Rockets for nine seasons but just completed his first as the team's VP of player personnel, replacing Dennis Lindsey for the job last summer when he left to join San Antonio.
Cooper was also the team's director of scouting from 2004 to 2007 and worked as a scout, video coordinator and assistant coach with the Rockets before that.
