Scola will pass on dancing career
Every year at the Houston Rockets open practice, the veterans force the rookies to do something embarrassing in front of the fans.

This year it wasn't just the first-year players -- the second-years had to join in as well. You would have thought they would have gone easy on Luis Scola... after all, he's a 28-year old International veteran who had to sing the national anthem at last year's open practice as a rookie.

Not so.

In a dance-off competition, Luis Scola busted out some latin dance moves, which was a huge hit with the faithful. Joey Dorsey wanted it, but the trophy was Scola's.

After the Rockets 85-78 preseason home win against the Spurs Thursday night, Scola was asked about the smooth moves that fueled his victory.

"I just want to forget about that," said Scola with a laugh. "I just cleaned it out of my mind. It never happened to me."

So is the trophy up on his mantel?

"I think I gave it to somebody. It's not one of my favorites," quipped Scola.
