On the court, Ron Artest is capable of driving you crazy, but stick a mic in his face and he's pure entertainment.
Artest was interviewed by TNT's Craig Sager on Wednesday after Rockets practice, and the Houston forward hand-delivered some quotables.
"Brandon Roy is probably the best player I've played against," said Artest. "To me, he's the best shooting guard... not on defense now because his defense is kind of suspect, but he's the best player I've played against."
When asked if that meant Roy was better than Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, Artest stuck to his guns.
"He is," said Artest. "Outside of a guy from my hood from Queensbridge, a guy named Mike Chatfer, he went to jail a couple of years but he was 15, 16 years old. He was the best player I played against, but now it's Roy."
Sager than sarcastically asked Artest if TNT crew and former Rockets Charles Barkley or Kenny Smith would have been the best players he played against had he faced them.
Artest answered seriously.
"I think Charles is probably a bit overrated," said Artest of Barkley. "Charles, he was like a ... he was a good player. He was a little small -- he didn't have no defense. So I'm not sure how I would have fared against him, but you know, I know Michael Jordan say he wished he would have played against me in his prime."
The facial expressions are priceless. Video below, from ClutchFans user batkins...
