Damn you Walt Williams. That's what some in Rocket country must be saying as the man couldn't be jumpstarted with bottled lightning for most of the season but down the stretch just can't stop putting the ball in the hole. To add insult to injury, you would think the Bulls would take care of business sliding under whatever the Nets could come up with, but ex-Rocket Matt Maloney hit 5-6 from long range to lead the Bulls to a mindboggling victory.
As a result of the Rockets' point jubilee in Denver and Maloney's knife in the Rockets' backs, they now sit alone with their thoughts in the 11th spot with just 4 games remaining. "It hurts," said one player. "This collapse into respectability.... it hurts."
In other news, it was "Scalpers Night Off" in Oakland as the Warriors beat the Grizzlies, and the Clippers naturally lost at home to Phoenix.
