As reported earlier, rumors are swirling about Clyde Drexler retiring and possibly taking the head coaching job at the University of Houston, his alma mater, after this season. Drexler discussed the rumors Thursday, saying his "first job is with the Houston Rockets, and until that's over, it's really hard to comment on anything else. Right now, I'm a player for the Houston Rockets. The only thing I can really think about is playing." The Chronicle reports Drexler is still leaning towards retiring, but other sources tell us Drexler is in fact leaning towards playing next season. If that is in fact true, whether that is with the Rockets or elsewhere remains to be seen.
