It's as dry and boring as you can get for hoops news these days, particularly with the Rockets. It doesn't help that negotiations with backup point guard Moochie Norris are going painfully slow. This is the third Dan Fegan client (Hakeem Olajuwon and Shandon Anderson being the other two) that is simply asking for way too much money. Fegan is apparently seeking between $3 and $4 million a year for Moochie, and though Houston wants him back, they're reluctant to give that kind of money to a backup point. ESPN Insider had first reported this about a week ago and that free agent point guard Damon Jones could become a possibility for the Rockets if Moochie does not come to his senses. Ironically Jones was said to be very strong the past few days, playing ball at WestSide with the likes of Tim Duncan, David Robinson and former Rocket Sam Mack.
