From Sporting News Rocket Report -- One of the Rockets' first round picks (#18 overall) Mirsad Turkcan, the 6-9 forward from Turkey, has accepted the invitation to play for his national team and will return to Houston at the end of the month, even if it means nothing more than pickup games with his new best friend, Hakeem Olajuwon. "I have been contacted (about playing professionally)," Turkcan said. "My old team (Efes Pilsen) called. They said they had lost their first five games or something. I couldn't believe it because we didn't lose that many games all of last year. But they called and were asking me -- 'Please . . . please come back'. They offered me $3 million to come back. Yes, $3 million. But I had to say no. I like to play over there, but my interest now is playing in the NBA. I want to play with Hakeem. Against Shaq and Michael Jordan. That is what I would like to do now."
