Hakeem Olajuwon scores 35 on Kareem, Lakers - 1986 West Finals Game 4
Hakeem blocked Kareem Abdul-Jabbar three times in the game -- the Rockets held Kareem to just 2 points on 1-8 shooting in the fourth quarter. Houston's defense suffocated the Showtime Lakers in the 4th quarter to win 105-95. The win gave the Rockets a commanding 3-1 lead and proved to everyone they are a force to be reckoned with.
Olajuwon had 16 points in the first quarter to power the Rocket offense. Even through triple and quadruple teams, Olajuwon was finding his way to the rim. He continued to dominate after dropping 40 points in game 3.
Ralph Sampson struggled the entire game with foul trouble, but Robert Reid stepped up with some sharp shooting on his way to 23 points. Magic had a triple double and James Worthy scored big, but both crumbled under the Houston defense in the final period.
